PURPOSE: To provide a connector furnishing female side contacts to allow a high density array by providing a long circular hole in the axial direction at the center of a terminal for soldering, and bending the terminal at a right angle along the axis.

CONSTITUTION: The connector is composed of an insulator 4 which consists of a resin, numerous contacts 5 inserted to the holes provided on the insulator 4, and a metal shell 3 to cover the insulator 4 and fixed to the insulator 4. And a female side contact 5 furnishes a terminal 52 at one end, and two contact pieces 51 opposing in a fork form at the other end. The terminal 52 has a long round hole 53 in the axial direction at the center, and the terminal 52 is bent at a right angle at the center along the axis of the contact 5. This connector has a wide clearance between contacts and a large density of array can be formed accordingly, even though the width of the terminal before bending is same as the conventional contact.
