Abstract:
To provide an optical fiber cable and a case for the optical fiber cable capable of suppressing breakage of the optical fiber cable to be branched from a trunk section.SOLUTION: An optical fiber cable 1 includes: a plurality of first optical fiber codes 10a including a trunk optical fiber code 10c and a branch optical fiber code 10d; a second optical fiber code 52 connected to the branch optical fiber code; and a case 40-1 covering a part of the plurality of first optical fiber codes and a part of the second optical fiber code. The case includes: a first tube portion through which the trunk optical fiber code is passed; a second tube portion adjacent to the first tube portion and through which the branch optical fiber code is passed; and a partition wall partitioning the first tube portion and the second tube portion. An optical connecting portion of the branch optical fiber code and the second optical fiber code is accommodated in the second tube portion, one end of the second tube portion is located between one end of the first tube portion and the other end of the first tube portion and communicates with an interior space of the first tube portion, and the partition wall extends from the one end of the second tube portion to the other end of the second tube portion.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
