Abstract:
To provide a sizing agent for a fiber which suppresses fuzzing and is excellent in openability.SOLUTION: A sizing agent for a fiber contains a polyether-containing compound (A), and a non-ionic surface active agent (B), wherein the polyether-containing compound (A) has one or more polyoxyethylene groups composed of two or more continuous oxyethylene groups in one molecule, the number of oxyethylene groups per the polyoxyethylene group is 2-60, the non-ionic surface active agent (B) contains at least each one of an aromatic non-ionic surface active agent (B1) and an aliphatic non-ionic surface active agent (B2), an HLB value of the non-ionic surface active agent (B) is 11 to 15, viscosity at 100°C is 200-2,000 mPa s, and viscosity at 60°C is 3,000-20,000 mPa s.SELECTED DRAWING: None
