Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2016104792
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide fibronectin based scaffold domain proteins that bind to proprotein convertase subtilisin kexin type 9 (PCSK9).SOLUTION: The invention provides polypeptides comprising fibronectin III 10th domain (10Fn3), which has at least one loop selected from loops BC, DE and FG with an altered amino acid sequence relative to the sequence of the corresponding loop of the human 10Fn3 domain, the polypeptides binding to PCSK9.EFFECT: The polypeptides can be used in the therapeutic applications for treating atherosclerosis, hypercholesterolemia, and other cholesterol related diseases.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
