To prevent the wrong correction of unnecessary items by deciding the user hierarchy when an editing program is called out and showing only the items that are frequently corrected in the past based on the decision result of the user hierarchy.
A history table 2 stores the correction histories of files which form a file group stored in a file storage part 1. A user input part 3 inputs a user ID, selects a specific file group out of the part 1 and inputs a selection/ designation instruction to designate a prescribed file out of the file group and also an instruction to give correction to a selected file item. A user hierarchy decision part 5 decides the hierarchy of the input ID based on a prescribed rule. A correction item retrieval part 6 specifies a correction object item that is allowed to the corresponding user among those files forming a specific file group based on the decision result of the part 5 and then shows the specified item at a display part 4.
