PURPOSE: To correctly execute a processing to use a file by displaying a file in a pop-up format, scrolling up/down a pop-up screen by means of an arrow key, selecting a file name by means of a return key, and displaying it on a command line.

CONSTITUTION: When a specific key is pushed, a read means 11 reads the file name from a hard disk 20 or a floppy disk 30 as usual, and a storing means 12 stores the read information into a memory 40. Next a pop-up display mans 13 displays the information stored in the memory 40 on a display device 50 in a pop-up displayable range, and selects the file name by the arrow key. The pop-up screen can selects the stored file name by scrolling up/down as needed. Further, a selection display means 14 displays the file name selected by a return key on the command line. Thus, the processing to use the file can be correctly executed.
