Abstract:
PURPOSE: To enable a user to make financial transactions with a financial institution by using an ATM network by connecting the network to a cellular telephone communication channel.
CONSTITUTION: A user transmits first data indicating the recipient of an amount, second data indicating the amount, and third data indicating his ATM network compatible person identification number to a central computer 8 through a dial-up telephone line 3. The computer 8 selectively places the amount to the debit of the account of the user against the terminals 2 and 10 of the user by sending a digital message to an ATM network in response to the transmitted data.
