A vertical shaft type pump motor module 3 with a motor 11 direct-coupled to a pump 10, a priming tank 4, pipes, valves, instruments and a control panel 5 are disposed inside a storage casing 2 of vertical rectangular solid shape, and the front face of the storage casing 2 is made closable with a front panel to constitute this fully-unitized thin type fire pump unit that can be inspected and repaired from the front side. External pipes are led into the lowermost stage part from the open bottom part of the storage casing 2 and connected to internal piping.
