Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing reel capable of accurately returning to most suitable drag force set at the beginning, even after setting a spool free.
SOLUTION: This fishing reel comprises a drive shaft rotatably supported by a main shaft through a break disk frictionally connected with a main gear and through a friction disk, a spool rotatably supported by the drive shaft, a clutch gear always connected with the other end of the drive shaft to be transmitted with rotating force of the drive shaft and removably engaged with the other end of the spool, a clutch lever for on and off the rotating force by sliding the clutch gear to be able to engage with the other end of the spool, a drag control lever rotatable in the same direction as the clutch lever, a cam capable of changing rotating operation of the drag control lever into sliding motion in an axial direction and a drag control spring transmitting sliding motion of the cam to the drive shaft and controlling frictional connecting force between the breaking disk and the friction disk, wherein the clutch lever and the drag control lever are set coaxially.
