Abstract:

To provide a fixing device that requires a short warm-up time and first print time, and prevents the occurrence of a fixing failure and a stationary member having a reinforcement member in pressure contact therewith from falling even when the device is accelerated, and an image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: A fixing device has installed therein a stationary member 26 that is in pressure contact with a pressure rotor 31 with a fixing belt 21 therebetween to form a nip part, and a reinforcement member 23 that is in contact with the stationary member 26 from the inside of the fixing belt 21 to reinforce the stationary member 26. The reinforcement member 26 has a plurality of columns of projection parts 26a and 26b formed along a conveyance direction projecting toward an opposing surface 23a of the reinforcement member 23 to come into contact with the reinforcement member 23.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
