To provide a fixing holder for a semiconductor laser that adjusts the direction of light projected from a semiconductor laser and radiates heat efficiently.
The fixing holder 1 comprises a sub-holder 2 and a main holder 3. The sub-holder 2, fitted with a semiconductor laser 101, has a convex spherical surface 2a formed of a portion of a spherical surface having a radius SR1 of curvature. The main holder 3, fitted with the sub-holder 2, has a concave spherical surface 3a formed of a portion of a spherical surface having a radius SR2 of curvature. The sub-holder 2 is fixed to the main holder 3, by fitting the convex spherical surface 2a in the concave spherical surface 3a. Then an adhesive enters the part between the convex spherical surface 2a and concave spherical surface 3a, by setting SR1<SR2, and an adhesive groove is formed of a gap where the entering adhesive can be cured.
