PURPOSE: To provide a stable fixing liquid having good fixing property which can be used for rapid treatment of a silver halide photographic sensitive material.

CONSTITUTION: This fixing liquid for a silver halide monochromic photosensitive material features in that it contains >0.1mol/l ammonium thiosulfate and 0.5-2.0mol/l sodium thiosulfate as thiosulfates of the fixing agent in a liquid for use. The fixing liquid is supplied in a concentrated liquid (1:0.5 or higher ratio of the concentrated liquid to water) having pH>5.0, 0.05-0.8mol/l sulfite concn., and ≤0.01mol/l water-soluble aluminum salt.
