PURPOSE: To simplify the mounting of an accelerating cable mounted on the carbureter side of an engine and its fine adjustment.

CONSTITUTION: A stationary plate 14 is fixed to an outer cable 2 composing the outside of an accelerating cable 1 in such a manner that the stationary plate may have an axial plane. The cable 1 is positioned along a bracket 20 opposing to the stationary plate 14. A plurality of grooves 21 are axially formed in the bracket 20. The stationary plate 14 is provided with a nail 16 engaged with the grooves 21. A long hole 13 is axially formed along the bracket 20. A nut part 17 for a bolt 15 penetrated through the long hole 13 is formed on the stationary plate 14. The grooves 21 of the bracket 20 are engaged with the nail 16 of the stationary plate 14 to adjust the cable 1 to looseness-free condition for mounting. In tightening the bolt 15 penetrated through the long hole 13 in the nut part 17, the bolt is easily tightened since no encumbrances exist in the tool rotating direction. Thus, working time can be reduced to improve productivity.
