Title:
FLAME-RETARDANT COMPOSITE YARN
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH04209823
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide the fiber having high flame retardancy and giving webs having excellent touch, moisture absorbability and comfort by blending halogen- containing polymer fibers, cellulosic fibers, and PVA fibers in a specific ratio.

CONSTITUTION: The objective fibers comprises (A) 80-20 pts.wt. of the fibers of a polymer containing 17-86wt.% of a halogen (preferably a copolymer comprising 30-70wt.% of acrylonitrile, 70-30wt.% of a halogen-containing vinylic monomer, and 0-10wt.% of a copolymerizable vinylic monomer), (B) 1-79 pts.wt. of at least one kind of cellulosic fibers selected from natural fibers and chemical fibers, and (C) 1-79 pts.wt. of PVA fibers, the sum of the components A, B and C being 100 pts.wt.
