Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain a flame-retardant epoxy resin compsn. small in the amts. of smoking and toxic gas evolution during heating and combustion thereof without using any halogen flame retardant, excellent in humidity resistance and flame retardancy, and low in viscosity and hence excellent in workability. CONSTITUTION:The title compsn. comprises an epoxy resin, an acid anhydride, a curing promoter and a filler, and 250-450 pts.wt. alumina hydrate having an electric conductivity of at most 30 is blended as the filler per 100 pts.wt. epoxy resin.
