Title:
FLOATING AMPLIFIER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2516546
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To always fix the gain to one and not to be affected by the fluctuation of a load by converting an input voltage to a current based on the floating potential of the load and giving the constitution of an emitter follower amplifier to the output part of a current-voltage converter.
CONSTITUTION: A voltage-current converter 80 converts an input voltage Vin based on a floating potential source A to a corresponding current based on a floating potential source B. A difference 2Δi between output currents of current mirror circuits 52 and 54 flows to an impedance element 72 to generate a voltage based on the floating potential source B between its both ends. In a current-voltage conversion amplifier 90 in the output stage of the floating amplifier, a signal source of the voltage between both ends of the impedance element 72 and a load 12 have the floating potential source B as the reference potential source. Thus, the amplifier 90 is operated as an emitter follower amplifier, and the voltage obtained by subtracting voltages between bases and emitters of transistors TRs 74 and 76 is outputted from an output terminal 78, that is, the voltage is amplified by the gain of about one, and the gain is not changed even if the load impedance is changed.
