PURPOSE: To obtain a small and low-noise floating bush capable of bearing high-speed heavy loads by forming a plural number of apertures radially in a cylindrical bush body, with each aperture fitted with an actuator which rolls in contact with a shaft and a bearing on the inner and outer peripheries of the bush.
CONSTITUTION: A floating bush body 3 is formed into a cylindrical shape which has an outer sliding surface 2 in contact with the inner surface of a bearing and an inner sliding surface 1 in contact with the outer surface of a shaft A, with a plural number of oil-sump grooves 4 formed on the inner and outer surfaces 1, 2 at equal intervals in the circumferencial direction. The oil-sump grooves 4 are allowed to function as a friction pump, when the shaft A and the floating bush 3 rotate. Further, in the floating bush body 3, a plural number of apertures 5 are formed through the body in the radial direction at equal intervals, with each aperture 5 rotatably fitted with a roller-shaped actuator 6 forming a semi-spherical shape at its both ends Accordingly, the actuator 6, rolling in contact with the outer periphery of the shaft A and the inner periphery of the bearing, pushes the floating bush body 3 to allow sliding rotations thereof.
