Abstract:
PURPOSE: To enable adjustment of floorboard height to be made easily and quickly and to enable fine height adjustment by providing a spacer portion formed in a wedge shape with an inclined front and a horizontal back, and providing connections for connecting a floor post to the space portion.
CONSTITUTION: A spacer portion 2 is formed in a wedge shape with its front 4 inclined and its back 5 made horizontal. Pairs of grooves 8, 9, 8', 9' are formed, as connections 3, on side faces 7, 7' along the direction A of inclination of the front 4 and from the front 4 to the back 5. When a gap forms between a floor post and poured concrete, the lower end face of the floor post is inversely inclined to supplement the inclined surface of the spacer 2, and the spacer 2 is driven in so that the lower end face abuts to the front 4. Then one end of each groove is secured to the side of the floor post, while the other end fits into a strip of metal fitting. Therefore, the need for using a bridging batten of the floor post which could obstruct additional water or gas plumbing done under the floor can be eliminated.
