PURPOSE: To prevent the abrasion of media and to attain a high speed access by driving a motor only when the media is accessed and preventing the drive of the motor from being stopped when the media is continuously accessed.

CONSTITUTION: When the access is generated to the media, a control commanding part 1 revolves and drives a driving part 5 through a drive control part 4. When the access is finished, a timer part 3 is activated and supervises a passing time after the end of the access. When a measured value by the timer part 3 achieves a prescribed value, the control commanding part 1 commands the drive stop to the drive control part 4 and stops the driving part 5. When the access to the media is generated before the measured value achieves the prescribed value, it is judged that the access is continuously generated and the control commanding part 1 commands drive continuation. Then, a revolving condition is maintained. Thus, the trouble of the media is prevented from being generated by the abrasion and the high speed access can be executed by maintaining the revolution when the access is continuously generated.
