To provide a sludge pipe blockage releasing device for a fluid carrier type tunnel excavating machine capable of discharging excavated muck in a hopper excellent in working efficiency and safety, that is, without stopping the digging advance of the excavating machine and without stopping a fluid carrier system.
This tunnel excavating machine provided in a chamber among a cutter disc, a bulkhead and a main body front barrel, to supply water to a hopper to collect excavated muck drilled by rotation of the cutter disc and to discharge the excavated muck with water is furnished with a breaking means provided on an excavated muck intake port of a head end part of a sludge pipe and to break the excavated debris in the neighbourhood of the intake port.
