Abstract:
To provide a flow passage opening/closing valve which maintains hermeticity of a valve element and is rich in durability.
An EGR valve 20 includes a body 22, a ball valve 30, a shaft 90, a valve presser 32 coming into contact with the ball valve 30 and a valve seat 37. Any one of the ball valve 30, valve presser 32 and body 22 is provided with a long hole 202, groove part 302, a notch 402 or passages 502, 604 with a small diameter. The deposition and fixation of fine particles of carbon or like contained in exhaust gas inside the body 22 can be prevented by introducing exhaust gas into the long hole 202.
