Abstract:
PURPOSE: To communicate an abnormality to an exterior by previously detecting occurrence of a trouble corresponding to a rotary shaft wear of sensor means to rotate corresponding to the flow rate.
CONSTITUTION: When first sensor means 3 and second sensor means 4 for detecting flow rates according to a magnetic field change of a magnetic element 2 provided at rotating means 1 are worn at its rotary shaft due to long term use and distances between the means 3, 4 and the element 2 are increased, a abnormality monitoring means 13 detects a reduction in the magnetic field strength from a pulse signal to be output from the means 3 and sends an abnormality signal to an exterior such as a waterworks bureau center apparatus 18. The reduction in the magnetic field strength can be detected by comparing signal intensity of the sensor means with a predetermined value.
