Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain efficient reheating of an absorption tower outlet gas by means of a gas reheater, by reducing an inlet mist concentration in an exhaust gas reheater of a flue gas desulfurizer.
SOLUTION: A flue gas desulfurizer comprises a group of mist evaporating tubes 21 consisting of naked tubes which is arranged between ducts set from a mist eliminator outlet at an absorption tower exit to a gas reheater. The gas flow velocity in a duct accommodating the group of mist evaporating tubes 21 is made higher than that in a duct accommodating a group of gas reheating tubes 10. In this manner, most of the mist in the gas is collected by means of the group of mist evaporating tubes 21 through inertia impact, thereby preventing damages caused by attachment of mist to the gas reheater 8.
