Title:
FLUORESCENCE X-RAY ANALYSIS FOR GLASS BEAD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5814037
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To perform a high-precise and rapid analysis, by a method wherein a sample, such as iron ores, and a flux are rapidly and antomatically weighed within an allowable accuracy based on their respective reference values, they are mixed and molten to form a glass bead, the X-ray strength of the bead is measured, and a correction factor which is previously found is used.

CONSTITUTION: A sample, such as iron ores, slug, is weighed by an automatic weighing unit with an allowable accuracy of 1/50W1/10 based on a reference value. Meanwhile, a mixture amount of a flux and the sample is automatically weighed with a permissible accuracy of 1/500W1/100. The mixture is molten in a mold to form a glass bead, and a gluorescence analysis is made on each component of the sample by the use of the bead. A correction is made on measurements by the use of a correction factor by means of a fluorescence X-ray strength, previously found by weighing based on the reference value, and a concentration value of each component, and this prevents a chemical balance from taking a long weighing time and enables to perform a rapid and high- precise measurement of a component content in a sample. This enalbes to perform an accurate management of a process.
