Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide an FO-1611A substance, FO-1611B substance and FO-1611C substance having low toxicity compared with monensin which is a known agent for inhibiting the growth of chicken coccidium and exhibiting effective activity against chicken coccidium having acquired drug resistance to monensin.
CONSTITUTION: The invention relates to a microbial strain belonging to the genus Penicillium and capable of producing FO-1611A, FO-1611B and/or FO-l611C substances, the FO-1611A, FO-1611B and/or FO-1611C substances obtained by culturing the microorganism in a medium to accumulate FO-1611A, FO-1611B and/or FO-1611C substances in the cultured product and separating the FO-1611A, FO-1611B and/or FO-1611C substances from the cultured product and the process for producing the substances.
