Abstract:

To provide a focus detecting device capable of realizing a high speed sampling rate by an A/D converter of one channel while making the data rate of a focus detection sensor low by taking noise performance and power consumption into consideration.

Analog data are output in parallel from a plurality of output terminals of an AF sensor 1. Those analog data which are output in parallel are latched by a latch circuit 12 and then input to a multiplexer 13 to be rearranged in time series. The analog data arranged in the time series are converted by an A/D converter 15 into digital data.
