To provide a foldable wheelchair which hardly causes the deviation of a hip part and is excellent in rigidity.

The wheelchair 2 is provided with a joint part 8 connecting left and right main frames. The joint part 8 is provided with a pair of front bars 48, a pair of first cross members 50, a pair of braces 52, a pair of back bars 54, a pair of second cross members 56, a pair of linking members 58 and a pair of under bars 60. By the turning of the first cross members 50 around a pin 68 and the turning of the second cross members 56 around a pin 70, the wheelchair is folded. By the second cross members 56, the high rigidity of the rear part of the wheelchair is achieved. The back bars 54 and the second cross members 56 are positioned below the front bars 48. Even when the rear part of a seat surface is turned downwards, the seat surface does not interfere with the back bars 54 or the second cross members 56.
