Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a folding door, simple in structure, and effectively preventing the folding door body from being folded backward without special operation.
SOLUTION: In this folding door 1A, a latch mechanism 44 is incorporated in a folding connecting part 35 of the folding door body 3 fitted to a frame body 2 to be freely opened and closed, and the lower frame 7 of the frame body 2 is disposed substantially without a difference in level to the floor surface on the interior A side and the floor surface on the exterior B side. The latch mechanism 44 is provided with a latch projection 69 urged downward by a presser spring 63 to engage and disengage with and from a rail 16 formed on the lower frame 7 of the frame body 2 from the interior A side, and an abutting projection 70 formed integral with the latch projection 69 with a clearance gap for the thickness of the rail 16 and abutting on the rail 16 from the interior A side to inhibit the folding door body 3 from being folded backward.
