This folding portable terminal having an external display means set on the external face of a foldable case body and an internal display means set on the internal face of the case body is provided with an opening/closing detecting means for detecting the opening/closing state of the case body. When the case body is opened based on the detected result of the opening/closing detecting means, contents are displayed on the internal display means, and when the case body is closed, the contents are displayed on the external display means. Also, the power source of the display means which is put in a non- operating state is turned off.
