PURPOSE: To obtain a food-packaging film having excellent balance of physical properties such as transparency, gloss, impact strength and tear strength with low extractability in a hydrocarbon solvent and a low temperature presenting a heat-sealing property.
CONSTITUTION: This food-packaging film having a specific gravity of 0.895-0.910g/cm3 and a n-hexane-soluble content of ≤6wt.% is composed of an ethylene-α-olefin copolymer or its mixture. The copolymer is composed of ethylene and a 3-12C α-olefin and shows a melt flow rate of 0.5-30g/10min, MN of 35,000-150,000 by GPC, MW/MN of 1.8-3.0 and the highest melting peak temperature of 60-110°C measured by a differential scanning calorimeter. This film is useful for packaging of various foods such as pickles, milk, Japanese wine, soy sauce, dry foods, ham and sausage.
