Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress pressure loss in an air duct and to improve a function for separating water and dust from air, in a railway vehicle where electric devices are forcibly cooled by a blower.SOLUTION: A railway vehicle includes: an air intake port provided in a vehicle body and for taking in air outside the vehicle; an air duct having an U-shaped part in which a downward flow passage in which air from the air intake port flows downward, a folding flow passage which turns an air flow direction from the downward flow passage from downward to upward, and an upward flow passage in which air from the folding flow passage flows upward are formed, and which is arranged in the vehicle body; and a blower for blowing the cooling air flowing in from the air duct to the equipment arranged on the downstream. The U-shaped part of the air duct has a flow rate increase suppression part for suppressing the increase in a flow rate in the folding flow passage.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
