To provide a forecast management device and a program that can forecast a suitable number of opening of POS terminals.SOLUTION: A forecast management device according to an embodiment is a forecast management device connected with multiple sales data processing devices executing transaction processing regarding a commodity to be purchase, and comprises a display unit, a statistic information storage unit storing statistical data regarding transition of the number of customers who visit a shop inside a store, forecast means forecasting a proper number of opening of the commodity sales data processing devices based on the statistical data stored in the statistic information storage unit, and display means displaying information regarding the forecast number of opening on the display unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10
