In a forging method, in which a material is subjected to plastic flow with pressing of a pair of dies at least to form a prescribed shape having a boss part, in the case a center axis 10 of the boss part 1 is inclined to a forging direction 10, a die shape is set so that a core burr parting line 14 is positioned more to the side requiring draft and inclined from the orthogonal direction to the center line, forging is executed. Because a length of draft is reduced, the volume to cut, which is inevitable, is reduced.
