Abstract:
PURPOSE: To carry out pad forming and thermal bonding on a drum by blowing hot air of higher temperature than the melting point of a binder behind the rotation direction of the area for adhering fluffy fibers of a drum for forming a pad.
CONSTITUTION: Air containing fluffy ffibers 18 added a synthetic material binder is supplied through a sector part 21 of a pad forming drum 10 to adhere the fluffy fibers in a pocket 11 of the drum. Hot air heated to the temperature higher than the melting point of the binder is made flow at the sector 23 in the radial direction of the drum.
