PURPOSE: To execute mass production of ceramic balls in various diameters by polishing a ceramic forming body while rocking it, providing a net-like polishing member through which a polished ceramic fine powder passes, and providing a bottom plate for forming the powder in a ceramic ball by a rocking process after receiving the powder which has passed through this polishing member, at the lower part of this polishing member.
CONSTITUTION: A shaft 5 is rotated to the right and left parts by the turning of a flange 6, a work tank 8 is rocked while it is turned, a ceramic forming body 15 is polished by the net grindstone 14 provided in a work upper tank 11 of this work tank 8 and the polished ceramic fine powder is dropped on each bottom plate 24 or 18 of a work middle tank 13 and a work lower tank 12 arranged at the lower part by passing this net grindstone 14. The dropped ceramic fine powder is then rocked on the bottom plate 14 of the work middle tank 13 and formed in a small diameter ceramic ball 17.
