Abstract:
PURPOSE: To estsblish a reference line for determining the connecting part of roof panels and the position of tie beams so as to allow to lay out efficiently the roof panels on the designed roof surface at the designing of a roof consisting of the roof panels by CAD system.
CONSTITUTION: A shape memory means (a) stores a designed roof in the form of a plan. A first reference line establishing means (b) establishes a first reference line, which runs along the direction of the slope of the roof surface on the plan under the condition that the predetermined gap is kept between the line and the roof surface and, at the same time, normal to the direction of the slope of the roof surface. In a stepped ridge roof, in which a verge and a non-verge position connect with each other, a second reference line establishing means (d) establishes a second reference line as the boundary between the verge and the non-verge portion. Accordingly, in the stepped ridge roof, in which the verge and the non-verge portion connect with each other, a roof panel for a verge and an ordinary roof panel can easily be laid out by the second reference line.
