PURPOSE: To provide a designed member having a three-dimentional pattern, which is superior in durability and has an excellent stereoscopic impression, by a simple method.

CONSTITUTION: A face sheet 1 on which a pattern 11 is printed, an expandable material 2 and a sheet 3 provided with an air port 31 are superposed on one another. The expandable material 2 is compressed to discharge compressed air through the air port 31, and the sheet 1, the expandable material 2 and the sheet 3 are welded along an outer block line 111 of the printed pattern. Then, compression is liberated to allow the external air to flow into a sealed chamber (a) through the air port 31. The expandable material 2 packed in the sealed chamber (a) is expanded by cushioning action, whereby the printed pattern 11 is swollen outward.
