To provide a foundation of a building easy in leveling of height and excellent in construction work characteristics, a foundation construction method and leveling hardware.
A separator 24 is set to penetrate through-holes 22 in a pair of weir plates 20, leveling hardware 14 is inserted between the weir plates 20. End faces of a slit 14D of the leveling hardware 14 are engaged with the separator 24 to protrude the top end section 14A of the leveling hardware 14 from above the top faces 20A of the weir plates 20 by a predetermined length. Thus, a plurality of pieces of the leveling hardware 14 can be horizontally placed between the weir plates 20, and are positioned to horizontally set the line made by connecting the top end sections 14A of a plurality of pieces of the leveling hardware 14. Then, concrete is placed between the weir plates 20 to form a concrete foundation 12. Even if the top face 12A of the concrete foundation 12 forms a serpentine pattern, a plate 30 placed on the top end sections 14A of a plurality of pieces of the leveling hardware 14 can be kept in a horizontal posture.
