Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the appearance of a motorcycle from being impaired by using a frame cover to almost cover the front side of a fuel tank and improve the air-cooling efficiency of an engine by guiding running wind hitting the front side of the fuel tank to the upper side of the engine mainbody.
SOLUTION: For a motorcycle, a hollow saddle-shaped fuel tank 6 being exposed on the front side is arranged behind a steering head pipe 11 and an engine 9 is arranged under the fuel tank. A frame cover 74 is provided for coverage between the steering head pipe and the fuel tank. The frame cover is so formed that the inside of a flange line 6c is almost covered from frontward on the front side of the fuel tank, where the flange line 6c joining both flanges of a surface member and a bottom member is formed almost in an inverse U-shaped at a view from the front side of the body, and the lower face of the cover 74 is smoothly curved toward the upper side of the engine mainbody 9.
