Abstract:

PURPOSE: To facilitate the mount of a metal adjustment screw by making a hole to a position with a strong electric field strength apart from the center of a semi-circular dielectric substance outward by a prescribed quantity at a right angle to a conductor face of the semi-circular dielectric substance being a mirror image face and inserting a metal adjustment screw.

CONSTITUTION: In the case of fixing a semi-circular dielectric substance 2 onto a flat conductor face 1, a hole 3 is made to a position with a strong electric field from the center of the semi-circular dielectric substance 2 outward by a distance of, e.g. 1/4 of a diameter (d) at a right angle to the conductor face 1 of the semi-circular dielectric substance 2 being a mirror image face and a metal adjustment screw 4 made of is inserted to the hole 3. When the adjustment screw 4 inserted movably to the hole 3 approaches the semi-circular dielectric substance 2, the resonance frequency of the dielectric resonator is lowered. Thus, the mount of the adjustment screw made of a metal is facilitated for the fine adjustment of the resonance frequency.
