PURPOSE: To realize a broad band frequency divider by inserting a phase compensating circuit having a phase frequency characteristic with opposite to that of an amplifier between a mixer of the frequency divider and the amplifier so as to reduce a change in a phase with respect to the frequency.
CONSTITUTION: The frequency divider circuit consists of an input terminal 1, an output terminal 2, a mixer 3, an amplifier 4, a directional coupler 5 and a phase compensation circuit 6. Moreover, the phase compensation circuit 6 consists of resistors 9,10,12, a capacitor C11, an inductor 13 and a FET 14. The phase characteristic in a closed loop is made flat by inserting the phase compensation circuit 6 having a phase frequency characteristic opposite to that of the amplifier 4 between the mixer 3 and the amplifier 4 in this way and an event of disabled frequency division due to a change in a phase of a closed loop even when an input frequency is subject to change is avoided and the band is made broad.
