A hopping code generator 13 outputs the hopping code hp of all timings to the reception code (r) based on the output of a counter 11 and an adder 12. A selector 14 judges whether or not the reception code (r) and the hopping code hp match and outputs the result as a matching signal hit. A matching coefficient calculation part 16 calculates the cumulative value of the matching signal hit and outputs it as a matching coefficient nc. A timing calculation part 17 outputs a maximum likelihood timing signal mt for indicating the timing of being synchronized with the reception code (r) based on the matching coefficient nc. A level calculation part 18 calculates a maximum likelihood level signal ml at all the timings. A data holding part 19 outputs the maximum likelihood level signal ml as decoding data dec corresponding to the maximum likelihood timing signal mt.
