Title:
FREQUENCY REGULATOR OF ELECTRONIC WATCH
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5447684
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To reduce the number of terminals of frequency dividing ratio setting terminals by providing frequency setting terminals to an IC for watches and selectively connecting these to display device driving terminals and power source terminals thereby setting the frequency dividing ratios of a variable frequency divider.

CONSTITUTION: Frequency setting terminals F1, F2 are provided to an IC 1 for watches and the common terminals 5a, 6a of select connectors 5, 6 are connected thereto. The select terminals 5b thru 5e, 6b thru 6e are connected to time sharing terminals X, Y and a battery 3 respectively. The terminal F1 generates 16 kinds of frequency dividing ratio setting signals in the output terminals J1 thru J4 of a condition synthesis circuit 33 via condition discrimination circuit 23 and the terminal F2 via condition discrimination circuit 32. These are then applied to the frequency dividing ratio setting circuit 11 of a variable frequency divider 8 to drive a time display device 4. Hence, wide frequency adjustment may be performed with a substantially less number of terminals because this is the system of making combination use of the output terminals to the time display device with the frequency setting terminals
