Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a friction roller in which slip preventive performance is not deteriorated without marring a medium by immersing the uneven spot of the friction roller in polishing liquid containing acid such as phosphoric acid as a main component and applying chemical polishing thereto. CONSTITUTION: Edge parts 3 are sharply formed in uneven spots 62 formed by cutting work on the surface 6 of a friction roller. The friction roller is immersed in polishing liquid containing phosphoric acid as a main component and the uneven spots 62 are applied to chemical polishing. Thereby, roundness is formed in the edge parts and burrs remaining by cutting work are removed. Accordingly, sufficient performance is obtained even in a thin medium.
