Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain a simple and rigid structure of the captioned apparatus by allowing the shaft of the frictional sphere which can be varied from outside to be pressed by a constant force of a spring etc. so that the sphere is always attached onto the side surface of a cone, in the inclined-surface-sphere transmission type speed change gear. CONSTITUTION:A semispherical frictional rotary body 1 is attached elastically onto two frictional surface 12 and 13 which are polished and fixed on an input shaft 11 and an output shaft 14 respectively by a spring 14 etc. The rotary shaft 2 of the semi-spherical frictional rotary body 1 is held at an arbitrary set angle with the outside adjusting ring such as a worm wheel gear 8, worm gear 10 etc., and the relative position is changed, thus the revolution ratio of the input shaft 11 and the output shaft 14 is varied steplessly. Thus, the frictional spherical transmission type stepless speed change gear which has a simple constitution and little vibration noise and is hardly destroyed by an excessive load can be obtained.
