Abstract:

PURPOSE: To protect the lower end of a pillar even though a bus collides to a border stone or the like, and to improve a good looking in the appearance, by providing a skirt to cover the lower end of the pillar positioning at the front of a body frame.

CONSTITUTION: The lower side of both ends of a front bumper 20 is divided into two parts, and skirts 24 (the bumper lowermost parts) to cover the lower surfaces are formed directing from the front and the side to the lower ends of pillars 21 positioning at the front of the body frame, inside the dividing parts 20b. As a result, even though the bus collides to a border stone and the like, the damage of the pillars 21 and the riding steps can be prevented effectively. The lower ends of the pillars 21 are covered by the skirts 24 from the front and the side to give a good appearance. When the skirt 24 generates damage, only the part of the divided part 20a may be replaced.
