PURPOSE: To prevent the failure and slip-out of a core during working by fitting the core freely onto the cylindrical part of a supporting metal provided in a front cover to facilitate the removal of the supporting metal and making the core fixable.
CONSTITUTION: A titled front cover is formed of a supporting metal 12 provided with an annular plate part 15 fitting in the inside circumference at the end of a rotary metallic flask 51 from the outside circumference at one end of a cylindrical part 14 and a core 13 fitting loosely onto part 14. A flange part 18 projected on one end of the core 13 is fitted into the annular recess 16 provided in the part 15. A projecting line 20 along the axial center direction is provided on the inside circumference of said core 13, and a tapered projection 21 is provided on the outside circumference near the other end of the part 14. The projection 21 has the sectional height changing toward the circumferential direction. Since the core 13 is fixed to the flask 5 in the above-mentioned way, the failure of the core 13 during casting and rotating and the slip-out of the core during transportation are eliminated.
