To provide a front structure of an automobile in which a substantially flat front face is formed by cooperating an airbag and a light collision load absorbing part, a bending moment is prevented from being generated to a colliding object, a damping stroke is shortened by a strong reaction force, and the airbag can be expanded promptly by reducing the airbag in size.
A front structure of an automobile includes an airbag 30 which is expanded above a light collision load absorbing part 17 at frontal collision or frontal collision prediction, and the airbag 30 is characterized in providing an expansion regulating means 32 to deploy a substantially flat surface for supporting a colliding object cooperatively over a range of a vehicle body front face at a position substantially longitudinally the same as and vertically deviated from a front face of the light collision load absorbing part 17.
