Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the degree of freedom on a layout, in a front suspension device to provide the advantages of a double wishbone type and a strut type.
SOLUTION: The external end in the direction of width of a vehicle of a lower link 4 supported on the car body side is coupled to the lower end of a knuckle 1 and a rotating coupling member 5 is mounted on an upper end. A support part 5e at the outside in the direction of width of the rotating coupling member 5 is supported at a suspension member 10 attached at a side member 9 through a single upper link 6, and a support part on the inner side in the direction of a car width is supported on the car body side through a strut 7. The upper link 6 has two ends supported by resilient bushes, a link axis LU to intercouple the oscillation centers of resilient substance bushes is arranged in such a manner to have an intersection point P with a king pin axis LK serving as the rotary axis of the rotating coupling member 5. The upper ring 6 is disposed in a position offset against the link axis LU longitudinally of a car body and rotatable around the link axis LU.
