PURPOSE: To provide a front suspension member structure which can load a rack-and-pinion type steering gear.

CONSTITUTION: A pair of side members 1 are extended in the longitudinal direction of a car body. The both rear ends of the side members 1 are combined by a rear member 3. At the front ends of the side members 1, the upper ends of a pair of connecting members 4 are fixed, and the connecting members 4 are extended to the lower side. The pair of connecting members 4 are opposed each other placing a specific interval, in the longitudinal direction of the car body. At the lower ends of the left side and the right side connecting members 4, the ends of a front member 5 extending in the car width direction are fixed. Between the left side and the right side connecting members 4 opposing in the car width direction, a cross member 7 is hung laterally. A steering gear is provided at the upper side of the front member 5, and it is installed playable between the pair of connecting members 4.
